Welcome to Pack 867!

Pack 867 has been a part of the Franconia and Kingstowne area of Alexandria, Virginia for 75 years. The Pack has shaped young boys into young men through a variety of age-appropriate activities like camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities.

Pack 867 offers boys and their families programs starting in Kindergarten through 5 th grade with the Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelo, and Arrow of Light dens.

The dens meet on average twice a month from September through June. The pack has at least one additional event once a month in the form of a Pack Meeting usually on the fourth Tuesday of every month also starting in September and running through June.

Pack 867 offers families an opportunity to camp with their scouts in a twice-a-year family overnight campout, along with other activities throughout the year.

We are also active during the summer months as a Pack by offering a variety of adventures like district-wide camps, fishing, bike rodeos and rain gutter regattas.

In February, we hold our annual Blue and Gold banquet and, our main event, the PINE WOOD DERBY! Families and siblings are encouraged to race for the finish line and take home a trophy.

Pack 867 also participates in the Boy Scout Popcorn sale through Trails End as our annual fundraiser.

We are also focused on helping the community. Pack 867 marches in Alexandria’s annual Presidents’ Day parade. We help area churches in our community do annual cleanups. We also participate in the annual Scouting for Food drive to help stock our area food pantries each November.

Pack 867 is a member of the National Capital Area Council, which serves the Washington, D.C. Metro area, including 16 counties in Maryland and Virginia, The U.S. Virgin Islands and those families who are serving abroad in North and South America.
